After a rocky launch, Gun Media and Illfonic are working hard to improve “Friday the 13th: The Game.” There are lots to look forward to in the asymmetrical horror title. Recently, the game was listed in the Guinness World Records for the success it has attained through crowdsourcing.

In addition to the upcoming DLC, it appears that the team has a lot more to offer to its massive fan base. Recently, the team behind the successful asymmetrical horror title talks about the issues encountered by players in the game. Moreover, new details on the highly anticipated Single Player Mode is revealed.

Previous issues

Gun Media recently shared a cool Content Guide. Loaded with “Friday the 13th: The Game” setting, the latest guide provides the skeletal framework of the plans the game developer has for the game. This includes new things such as challenges, counselors, kills for Jason, and clothing among others.

In the game’s official forum, the admins explain their silence about the delays and issues with the patches. According to the admins, they have been quiet because they found no good answer to give to the community. Moreover, they reveal that so far the certification from Xbox One consumes most of their time.

Single Player Mode

Right now, the admins share that since the bugs are now addressed, the focus is now on the major updates coming to the survival horror title, which includes the much-awaited single player mode.

Initially, the mode was scheduled to be released in summer of 2017. However, because of several issues encountered, the plan for the scheduled release was postponed. With the game more stable now, it looks like the initial plan is pushing through.

Interestingly, the developer has already hired multiple contractors. These contractors are assigned to individually work on the single player task and complete it all at once.

The assignment of these responsibilities and goals will provide a faster and smoother release of the content.
