“Fire Emblem Warriors” will be released later next month, and Nintendo has been sharing new information about the game. Just recently, they revealed some new DLC packs which are slated to arrive late this year and early 2018. On the other hand, a handful of new characters were also announced this Tokyo Game Show 2017. That said, an early Twitch stream of “Fire Emblem Warriors” leaked some unannounced characters for the game.
New characters to join the battle
According to Nintendo Wire, multiple “Fire Emblem Warriors” characters have been leaked due to an early Twitch stream of the game.
These said characters are Niles, Owain, Navarre, Iago, and Gharnef, but their playable status is still unknown. That said, Navarre, Oboro, Niles, and Owain act as NPCs in the story mode, so it’s still unsure if they’re unlockable characters. Meanwhile, Iago, Darius, and Gharnef are enemies, hinting that they could be playable outside of the story mode.
So far, Nintendo has yet to reveal any information about these said characters. On the other hand, they have revealed Celica from “Shadows of Valencia” as part of the growing roster. Similarly, they have shared that Caeda and Tiki from “Shadow Dragon” will also be playable characters. Celica uses a sword and light magic in battle, while Caeda is a Pegasus Rider and Tiki wields a Dragon Stone.
DLC packs
In other news, Gematsu reports that Nintendo has shared the initial details about the upcoming DLC packs for North America. There are currently three expansions planned for the game, one of which will release later this year. All three are based on different games in the series and will include more weapons and additional playable characters.
The first DLC is inspired by “Fates” and is coming this December. Meanwhile, the second expansion is based on “Shadow Dragon” and will release in February 2018, while the final DLC pack is named after “Awakening” and is slated to arrive in March 2018. Each DLC pack will cost $8.99, but you can buy the complete set via the season pass.
If you choose to buy the bundle for $19.99, you can also unlock a bridal costume for Lucina.
“Fire Emblem Warriors” is a spinoff Musou game that brings together iconic heroes from the series. While there is no tactical turn-based combat, the game will contain core features from the franchise. Mechanics like permadeath, support conversations, and a leveling system will all be included in the upcoming title. The game will release this Oct. 20 for the Nintendo Switch and New 3DS.
