The latest updates for "Destiny 2" will feature Bungie launching a new hotfix for the sequel's Exotic Raid quests, power levels, and engrams next week. The game publisher will also address some weapon changes.

New patch updates for next week

Bungie announced that they would have a maintenance period for "Destiny 2" next week to address several in-game glitches and issues in the Leviathan Raids. The game studio will correct the player's tally on receiving new items after finishing a quest. Every encounter will still award them with one seal, but the completion of the quest will only require ten seals instead of 100.

There is also a problem with the engrams in the sequel's raids and Trials of Nine as players notice that they have dropped to ten power. At first, it was not a big deal to them. However, they soon realized that the items should be scaling with the power levels of their clan. Bungie will remedy the glitch, and it will give players more reason to join a clan in the game.

Other issues in the game include a fix regarding the Veteran's Transmatt effect when deleting characters and a bug that prevents teams from progressing in the raid after passing the gauntlet section.

The "Destiny 2" maintenance will launch on Oct. 3 at 8 PM, and it is expected to last until 12 PM. The game's annual PvP event, "Iron Banner" will also return to the sequel next month.

Weapon changes teased

Senior designer Jon Weisnewski recently stated that they got their hands on the first batch of player data from its analytics team and they have been monitoring some crude activities in the sequel's weapons.

"We're not ready to go into detail about any weapon or ability tuning at the point, but there is an ongoing process in play," Weisnewski told GameSpot.

" So we did want to drop a quick line and say 'We have heard your feedback. Thank you!'"

Bungie is looking closely into the MIDA Multi-Tool and new options that will match or exceed its effectiveness in all activities. There are still more guns that are coming to the sequel and players will be ready to try them.

Marketing officer Eric Osborne teased the details of the "Curse of Osiris" expansion as players will explore the uncharted areas of the planet Mercury called "Infinite Forest" and look for the wizard Osiris and his protege Ikora Rey.

The first expansion will feature new story missions that players can tackle on to unlock new items, weapons, loots, and gear. There are also new cooperative activities and competitive arena maps on its online mode.
