“The Sims” modder "icemunmun" has created the Functional Canning Station and Canning skill mod. With this, players who voted for the Eco Living Food Preserve can now play one of its features.
Eco Living gameplay feature vote
“The Sims” team previously conducted another Eco Living survey from June 23 to June 26. It aimed to allow players to choose for the gameplay feature that will be included in “The Sims 4” Eco Living pack. The winning group is the Laundry, which is an optional gameplay system that can only be used in a household with laundry objects.
It is set to offer several features and new objects such as the clothes line, dryer, washing machine and a wash tub.
Though the Food preserves group didn’t win the vote, one of its features has been created and made available. Players can now download the Functional Canning Station and Canning skill mod by modder "icemunmun."
New canning station and skill mod
“The Sims” modder "icemunmun" has developed the new station and Canning mod to allow players to enjoy several features in food preserve group. It features new contents such as the functional Canning Station to make various kinds of preserves and custom canning skills in 10 levels. It also features canning in five simple steps and canning shelves with two variations.
The new station, which costs around 2,000 Simoleons, is available in six presets. The Canning Preserve display, on the other hand, costs around 200/120 Simoleons. It is available in 10 presets that can either feature 24 small + 6 medium slots or 16 small + 6 medium slots.
“The Sims 4” Eco Living food preserve content allows players to create foods such as Jams, Spreads, and Pickles.
They can make Jams out of Apple, Blueberry, Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Cherry, Peach, Pear, Grape, Lemon, and a lot more. They can also create Pickles from different ingredients such as Carrots, Green Chili, Corn, Cucumber, Mushroom, Olive, and Onion. The Spreads, on the other hand, can be made out of Basil, Chili, Cocoa, Garlic, Onion Cheese, Tomato Ketchup, and Vanilla.
Preserve jar interactions
In the new content, any creation can be stored and preserved using preserved jars. Simmers can also have three interactions with the jars. They can eat preserve, eat with bread, or sell to an evil corporation.
New skill features
“The Sims 4” Eco living food preserve new content also features special buffs, moodlets, and skills. The custom skill can be played in ten levels where each level unlocks different preserve recipes for jams, pickles, or spreads.
Other features revealed
In the new Canning Station and skill mod, players can also create different club activities and sell their food preserves for 20 Simoleons or more. They can also purchase three skill books including “To Can or Not to Can,” “Cantastic Fruits and Where to Can Them,” and “If I can can, I will can!”
