The next DLC character that will soon join the roster of “Injustice 2” will arrive in the game sooner than previously anticipated. If the latest leak is to be believed, fans will get to play the Tamaranian Queen, Starfire on August 08.

Release date

NetherRealm Studios conducted a live stream on August 7 to release another gameplay for the latest character that will soon be joining the game. The game developer has been tight-lipped about the release date of Starfire. However, PlayStation has recently leaked information that reveals her arrival in the game on August 8.

According to the blog entry, fans can play the latest addition to “Injustice 2” starting tomorrow. While it is unclear if she will be released simultaneously with Xbox One, many assumed that it is the case. The Tamaranian Queen will be available for free to all Season Pass holders. For those who would like to get Starfire, she is available for $5.99, which will also give players early access to the character.

Starfire is the third DLC character that will be released in the game. She will join the other two who were released earlier. The ice warrior from “Mortal Kombat” Sub-Zero was released in the game in July. On the other hand, DC Comic’s Red Hood was launched in the game last June.

Stream

NetherRealm Studios announced that they will hold a stream today starting at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time on the game developer’s official Twitch channel.

Aside from a new gameplay, fans are anticipating that the developer would give some clues about the next set of DLC characters that will soon be released in the game.

Other details

There were earlier speculations that Constantine, Spawn, and Static could be the next characters that would be introduced. However, the game developer has not confirmed any of these speculations so far.

Instead, Game Director, Ed Boon recently posted a cryptic image on his official Twitter account. Fans were quick to distinguish the character despite that what was shown was not the face but a part of its body.

The collective assumption in the community is that Boon is teasing about the “Mortal Kombat” character, Cyrax. The robotic assassin is known to be a part of the trio called cybernetic ninjas made by Lin Kuei.

As usual, there's no confirmation from the game developers end yet about this cryptic image.
