“Gta 5 Online” is set to receive a big expansion that adds a number of flying vehicles, new missions, and more. If a new leak is anything to go by, fans might also see the inclusion of a supercar.
Smuggler’s Run release date and trailer
Rockstar Games officially announced Smuggler’s Run as a huge update coming to the massively popular online racing title on August 29.
The studio also released an announcement trailer offering a first look at the new set of content coming to the game. It looks to be quite a delightful treat especially to fans who have a thing for flying vehicles.
Take a look at the new teaser below.
Surely, the trailer looks stunning and promises some intense aerial action that gamers have not seen yet in the game.
New confirmed features
Moreover, the next big expansion is packed with new missions apart from different kinds of airplanes, helicopters, and ultralight vehicles. The game developer, in broad terms, teased players that all of these exciting additions offer creative new ways to deal with their opponent gangs.
It also brings in a great collection of customizable aircraft, which gamers can store in new hangars used as the control post of the smuggling operations. The new mechanic named Charlie is tasked to watch over the vehicles in the base.
It’s a free update
The latest update comes free to all players of the game. The name Smuggler’s Run is reportedly a reference to a previous open-world racing game from Rockstar Games that also involved smuggling.
In this next expansion, players work with Ron and Charlie in taking on new business opportunities for smuggling illegal goods within Los Santos and Blaine County.
Is a supercar coming, too?
Apparently, it’s possible that there could be more to what's in store for the fans in this incoming update. An alleged leaked photo (shown above) is hinting the addition of a supercar.
Prolific leaker and YouTube user MrBossFTW revealed in his video that someone’s friend sent the said image of the rumored supercar to him.
But this friend did not tell anything else about it.
The supercar does not have a name either but it looks futuristic and amazing. Some fan commented that based on its back, the supercar is called Trion Nemesis.
But while this piece of information came from an anonymous person and remains unconfirmed at this time, fans should better take it with a grain of salt.
In a separate press release, Rockstar Games confirmed that a host of new features, cars, holiday-themed events, and the game-changing Transform Races mode will follow The Smuggler’s Run update for “GTA 5 Online” in autumn.
