The latest updates for "Destiny 2" will feature more game details at Pax West 2017 and the PC version coming to the Steam store soon.

PC Version coming to Steam

It seems that PC users can purchase "Destiny 2" on Steam as the online store's listing revealed a 500 "Destiny Silver" currency. This in-game currency allows players to buy items such as emotes, exotic weapons, ornaments, and more for their chosen character.

The problem, however, is that Bungie has yet to confirm whether the Steam listing is legitimate and users will have no choice but to wait for the publisher's answer regarding the matter.

This is not the first time that the Silver currency is shown in Steam as several fans believed that the post is linked to the PlayStation 3's connection on the online store. Furthermore, the listing mentioned "Destiny Silver" not "Destiny 2 Silver" so there is a chance that it could a typographical error on the website's part or that the first game will be arriving on the PC soon.

Bungie has not yet confirmed if the sequel will use the same currency system as the first game, let alone support microtransactions in general.

Still, PC users will be excited to hear that Bungie is trying to put "Destiny 2" on Steam since it is the most preferred platform when it comes to PC games.

PAX West 2017 appearance

Bungie will make an appearance at this year's PAX West next month and game director Luke Smith has been selected to keynote the event. Smith will address more game details for "Destiny 2" during the opening remarks of the kick-off event on Sept. 1.

While the information on Smith's presentation at PAX West is still unknown, gaming fans expected that majority of his speech will be about the sequel since the game will launch next month. Smith's contributions to the video game industry have been well received by fans from "Halo" to the "Destiny" franchise.

He is also responsible for "Destiny's" raids and its expansion, "The Taken King" in 2015.

The PvE content for the sequel will span more than 80 missions and activities as lead designer Mark Noseworthy stated that the testers played the game for 55 hours. The publisher has kept much of the game's campaign a secret, so there are still unanswered questions that fans will just have to wait and see when game launches or at the PAX West event itself.

Community manager David Dague teased that gaming fans will plenty to do after they finish the main story campaign and will provide ideas for future expansions.

The game will launch on Sept. 6 for the PS4 and Xbox One, and Oct. 24 for the PC.
