THQ Nordic has announced that their latest horror adventure game, “Black Mirror,” will launch in November this year for both PC and consoles. The “Black Mirror” is co-developed by King Art Games, German game developers, to bring back the original horror game that is all about madness and psychological distress.
What is the game all about?
The horror Adventure Game was released back in 2003 by Future Games. WCFF Tech reported that the “Black Mirror” will be the fourth entry in the series. However, the upcoming game is just actually a reboot of the original game.
THQ Nordic explained that many players are still unfamiliar with the previous sequel. Hence, the new installment will be the best chance for them to experience the horror game along with its new story. The developers also said that the latest reboot will allow the players to learn more about the past of Gordon’s family. Hence, the upcoming game will feature new gameplay elements that will capture the each player's fear.
In the game, players will take on the role of David Gordon. They will have to explore his family history in the mystery mirror after the death of his father in 1926. The protagonist will visit his ancestral home for the first time in his life wherein he will learn more about the dark secrets that claimed the lives of his family members.
These memories and secrets will start to threaten him while he continues his journey to the past.
In the original storyline, Samuel Gordon, David’s ancestor, was forced to return to the Black Mirror when he heard about the unnatural death of his grandfather. Samuel started his investigation into the mysterious death of William Gordon and found out that there is a relationship between the curse of his family and the recent incident.
Samuel found out in Williams’ note that way back in the 1200s, the Gordon line started with two brothers, Mordred and Marcus. The elder brother, Mordred, opened a dark portal that was known as the Black Mirror for his evil desires. Mordred's younger brother, Marcus, did not close the mirror. Hence, Mordred got the chance to curse his brother's descendants while he was in his dying breath.
He added that there would be five souls that will be sacrificed for his evil plan to be re-released.
William’s note also revealed that the only way to shut the portal is to use the five sacred keys. These were entrusted to five different members of Gordon’s family.
When exactly will it be released?
According to Engadget post, the game is set to release on November 28, 2017. This will be exclusive for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
