The Nintendo Switch has become quite the success since it launched earlier this year. Despite its small library, the hybrid console has managed to win over many fans while consumers are begging Nintendo to release more copies of their unit. So far, we’ve been treated to games like “Breath of the Wild,” “Splatoon 2,” “ARMS,” and “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.” Although, the company still has many more games lined up for the system which are all releasing in the near future. With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the best Nintendo Switch Games to look forward to this 2017.
‘Super Mario Odyssey’
Maro’s back for another grand-scale adventure in his upcoming Switch title, “Super Mario Odyssey.” Like always, he’s going on a mission to save Princess Peach who was once again captured by the villainous Bowser. However, it seems like the King Koopa has some big plans in line for him and the princess as they seem to be getting married. To put a stop to his wicked schemes, Mario teams up with an unlikely ally named Cappy who joins the plumber on his journey as his signature cap. “Super Mario Odyssey” offers a vast world just waiting to be explored along with some returning faces from the franchise, like Pauline.
‘Xenoblade Chronicles 2’
The sequel to the highly-rated Wii game, “Xenoblade Chronicles 2” is a direct title after the first game and should give more insight on the world and characters around it.
The game seems to take place years after “Xenoblade Chronicles” and follows a boy named Rex who takes up the task of escorting a Pyra back to her long-lost home called Elysium. Most of the original game’s elements are back, along with some new characters and villains. This is an adventure worth waiting to see, and it will be launching for the Nintendo Switch in the following months.
‘Stardew Valley’
The critically-acclaimed farming simulator will be arriving to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Here, you’ll take control of your own avatar who decides to trade in his boring corporate life for a new start in a quaint little town. You effectively inherit the farm belonging to your late grandfather and will live off the land to make a living.
If you’re not busy tending to your crops or mining for ores, you can mingle with the various townsfolk and participate in events. If you’re feeling up to it, you can even woo selected visuals, have children, and be part of a family. The developers have already brought up the multiplayer functions which will be arriving to the Switch as well.
