Capcom announced today that the survival horror video game, “Resident Evil: Revelations” will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 31 in North America. The game was first released in Nintendo 3Ds handheld game console in January 2012. It is also called “Biohazard Revelations” in Japan.
Story
The upcoming title from Capcom is set in the events between “Resident Evil 4” and “Resident Evil 5.” It stars the franchise’s main character Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as they try to prevent a bioterrorist group from infecting the Earth with a rare virus through contaminating the oceans.
“Resident Evil: Revelations” tells of the disappearance of Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, along with her new sidekick Parker Luciani will try to find him. The only clue that the pair stumbled upon points them to a neglected cruise ship located in the Mediterranean. The ship despite being empty conceals many dangers shrouded inside the dark corner of the vessel. The duo will face the danger that lurks in every corner of the abandoned ship. They will be subjected to terrifying horrors that will surface from the darkest corner of the vessel.
This will be the first time that the game will undertake underwater and will let the characters combat and escape the horrifying creatures residing in the ship.
The game will be told similar to a TV drama. Aside from this, players will also encounter the mystery-cloaked organization known only by the name Veltro. Moreover, players will also learn and discover the source of the rare virus in the game dubbed as the T-Virus.
What will be included in the remastered version?
The upcoming game, which is a remastered version, will be released along with all the DLC costumes included in the Rain Mode.
The game will also have the online co-op mode. It is also known as the offline solo mode. In this mode, players can level up their characters and get weapon upgrades through destroying enemies and completing in-game missions.
Since the upcoming title is a remastered version, it will be released with a more crisp 1080p resolution.
Moreover, fans can expect enhanced graphics visible in the detailed environment and more refined movements of the creatures. Capcom promises to give players an entirely new approach to total gaming terror.
“Resident Evil: Revelations” will be available for $19.99. For players in the UK, there is no official Release Date available yet. Most likely, the game will arrive soon after it becomes available in North America.
