D23 Expo 2017 is almost here and fans of Kingdom Hearts 3 are all hyped about seeing yet another gameplay trailer of the much-awaited RPG and the possible reveal of its official release date. Disney, in its official press release, has confirmed that Square Enix has special news to announce at the show.

D23 Expo livestream schedule

The Disney-centric event, which is only held every two years, is set to run this weekend, from July 14 to July 15 and will take place Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. A few days before it kicks off, Disney has confirmed that those who cannot attend the show in person can watch it live online right from the comfort of their own home.

According to Disney, “Level Up! The Walt Disney Company’s Video Game Showcase” will be streamed live via Facebook and Twitch channel. It is slated to go live on Saturday, July 15, from 1 PM to 2 PM PST.

Special news

The press release further confirmed that fans can look forward to special news for “Kingdom Hearts 3”. On the other hand, EA Dice’s Star Wars game, “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” and Marvel’s “Spider-Man” PS4 will also get their fair share of the show.

No prize for guessing, but this special news could involve the long-awaited announcement of the game’s official release date. Game Director Tetsuya Nomura himself hinted back at KH Orchestra Concert in June that final information will be announced at D23 Expo other than seeing a new lengthy gameplay trailer that will tease a new world to be featured in the game.

Rumored new worlds

While it is now certain that a new world will be shown at D23 Expo, there is no clue whatsoever what new world will be seen next in the game. At this point, the game developer confirmed five worlds so far: Kingdom of Corona (Tangled), "Big Hero 6", Mount Olympus (Hercules), Twilight Town, and Mysterious Tower.

On top of the list of fan favorite worlds is the phenomenal Disney animated movie “Frozen.” “The Jungle Book,” “Toy Story,” “Darkwing Duck,” “Wall-E,” and even Marvel universe are also rumored as possible in-game locations.

What else to expect

Attendees of the show can also expect developer interviews, exclusive trailers, and special guests coming over, although it remains a surprise who will be there at the event.

Interestingly, famous YouTube gaming personalities JackSepticEye and Strawburry 17 will be there to get their hands on a few select titles.

“Kingdom Hearts 3” is currently developed by Square Enix for Xbox One and PS4. The game is expected to arrive after April 2018 but fans are about to find out when they can exactly play the game this coming Saturday, so, don't miss the big news.
