‘Dark Souls’ soundtrack, the music for the masochists
Despite the series' reputation for its excruciating difficulty, vague story, and melancholic world on the brink of destruction, it is also well known for its excellent musical scores and orchestra. Created by the brilliant composers Motoi Sakuraba and Yuka Kitamura, the soundtrack of the series adds to the intensity, feeling of dread, and overall atmosphere of the games.

The Souls series is a series of third-person action role-playing games developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco.
The series is well known for its punishing difficulty, cryptic lore, and reaction-based combat. The series began with “Dark Souls” in 2011. Following its success, the sequel “Dark Souls 2” was released on 2014. It was then followed by “Dark Souls 3” on 2016, concluding the series. Barring the second game, Hidetaka Miyazaki helmed the production of the games.
Between the release of the second and third game, Miyazaki also created a game called “Bloodborne” for the PlayStation 4 console. “Bloodborne” is also an action role-playing game similar to the Souls series at its core. Putting together all FromSoftware titles create a series of games the fans call the “Soulsbourne” franchise.
