Game developer Vicarious Visions and publisher Activision has revealed another new video, which can be viewed down below, that focuses more on the two masks that Crash wears in “#Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.” #Aku Aku and #Uka Uka join up in this great remake of a popular video game trilogy.
Aku Aku: The Wooden Mask
In this popular video game series, Aku Aku is the noticeable wooden mask that follows around Crash during his travels. It is a supernatural wooden mask that is possessed by a witch doctor, and it tries to help out the marsupial in times of his need.
The wooden mask's usual function is a power-up for Crash, which helps him immensely in finishing the stage he is in. Players can usually find the wooden mask across the stage in a special crate, and if they break that crate, the mask joins them and takes some hits for the character. He gains a temporary invincibility power if they stack up the power-up for two more times, which becomes a third-level power up.
Uka Uka: The Evil Wooden Mask Rival
Crash and his beloved wooden mask partner also meet up with one of their evil foes, which is Uka Uka. This is another wooden mask, but an evil voodoo version and actually and evil spirit that is the younger twin brother of the good wooden mask.
Uka Uka actually influenced the main antagonist, Dr.
Neo Cortex, of the two game titles of the series, “Crash Bandicoot,” and “Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.” It was revealed later in “Crash Bandicoot: Warped” that he was the one behind all of this, and became a full antagonist in that title. In the graphically-upgraded remake, he appears before the players on the game over screen after losing all of Crash’s lives in all three game titles.
New Crash Bandicoot Statue Revealed
In other related news, a new Crash Bandicoot statue was recently revealed by collectable creators First 4 Figures. This new statue is made from painted PVC, has a height of nine inches, and it comes with a premium deluxe box, a collector’s box, a card for authentication, and a Day One Edition Signature Card for collectors to have.
They will have to pre-order fast if they want to get the chance to have a low number for the limited numbered logo base.
The current price tag for the statue is $89.99, which needs a $45 deposit first before interested buyers can pre-order it. For those who pre-ordered early, they will also get a bonus of a Day One edition hologram sticker, and additional F4F reward points.
