Patch v262 for the PC version of the action-adventure survival game, “Ark: Survival Evolved” is expected to be released today. Studio Wildcard has already revealed the patch notes of the upcoming patch. However, it appears that the scheduled release is not going to happen today because of some issues.

On their official Twitter account, Studio Wildcard’s Lead Community Manager and Associate Producer, Jat has revealed that the highly anticipated PC patch might not be released as scheduled because of some issues. The AP pointed out that they are currently having a hard time making builds because of an issue with the software that they use in developing the game.
He further added that since they were not able to make the builds, they cannot release any patch. The studio has already communicated with the software company.
With this, PC patch v262 has no exact schedule of release. Jet quipped that it could be within the day, of after several hours. Despite the issue, it appears that the team is confident they will release the PC patch today.

PlayStation 4 update
This is not the case with the PlayStation 4 patch of “Ark: Survival Evolved.” So far, the studio has not yet given any update about the release date of the patch for the Japanese console.
Players using the platform are still waiting for more information. The most recent update about the console updates from the studio was their statement saying that the patch would not be released on July 12 as previously scheduled.
With several reported issues concerning the console patch, it appears that Studio Wildcard is taking their time developing the much-awaited update.
The recent delay of the updates for the console has fans worrying that the launch of the Ragnarok Mod might be affected. Initially, the first official game expansion was scheduled to be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users on July 19.

The upcoming update contains Boss Wars, more creatures, weapons, and structures. The patch will also roll out fixes for the game.
“Ark: Survival Evolved” is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. It is scheduled to officially release on August 8, 2017.
