“Persona 5” has become one of the most successful JRPGs over the past few years due to its impeccable style and impactful narrative. One of the game’s features allows you to bond with certain people known as “confidants” and unlock some nifty things along the way. While there are many confidants to choose from, here are five of the best ones you should focus on.
Sojiro Sakura
Sojiro is the man who decided to take you in after you moved to Tokyo in “Persona 5." To access his Confidant, you need to go downstairs from your attic and speak to him. Aside from learning more about his past and personal problems, spending more time with Sojiro will let you make special coffee and curry that will restore your SP in dungeons.
Keep in mind that while curry can heal everyone’s SP, it can only be used outside of battle.
Futaba Sakura
Futaba’s the fifth member of the Phantom Thieves and also acts as the navigator of the group. Upon joining, she won’t actively participate in battles but will support the group with various buffs. To unlock her full potential, you must spend time with her. She has access to plenty of useful skills like initiating a “Hold Up!” at the start of battle or giving the party a full status boost. You can find her outside the cafe on certain days.
Tae Takemi
Tae is the resident doctor in your area and she has a nasty reputation when it comes to her practices. This is where you’ll be buying most of your medicine in “Persona 5” so it’s best that you spend some time with Tae to increase her available items.
Moreover, she’ll offer you some major discounts if you rank her high enough. You can find Tae in her clinic located near the outskirts of your neighborhood.
Toranosuke Yoshida
Yoshida is a socialist politician you befriend after you get to explore Tokyo on your own at night. After meeting during one of your part-time jobs, you can spend more time with him, which will unlock some useful skills when negotiating with demons.
If you rank him high enough, you can even recruit demons without needing to persuade them. To find Yoshida, you have to go to the Shibuya Station at night.
Yuuki Mishima
Yuuki starts off as a cowardly student during the early hours of “Persona 5,” but he soon warms up to you. When you can finally spend time with him, he’ll give you optional missions in Mementos that you can do to rank him higher.
Yuuki has some really useful buffs for the party like a permanent EXP bonus to help level up all of your characters. If you don’t want to grind, you should definitely look into raising his confidant level instead. Yuuki can be found in random parts of the city but he’ll send you a message whenever he finds a new target.
