A good number of the recently released triple-A video game titles have unfortunately been lacking a memorable single player campaign mode. While some do feature a somewhat short story mode, some games don't even feature it at all. EA's 2015 action shooter video game, "Star Wars Battlefront," as an example was completely absent a single player campaign.
Single player fun
The game itself was heavily criticized for lacking a story mode, but it seems like EA has learned their lesson as the upcoming new sequel, "Star Wars Battlefront 2," has been revealed to sport a completely immersive and well written single player campaign.
Those who were fortunate enough to have been given the chance to play the new game's story mode prior to the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event has had nothing but praise for it. According to players, the brand new campaign looks like it was very well put together with properly rendered characters and environments.
Through the eyes of a soldier
The missions themselves takes place between the time of "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens," with players taking the role of a soldier in the Imperial Army. It was also revealed that the first mission will have players take control of Imperial Inferno Squad commander Iden Versio. Similar to traditional first person shooter campaign, the new story mode is apparently filled with a lot of cut scenes and interesting dialogue.
Additionally, players will be able to experience epic space battles and well as vehicular combat on the ground.
Multiplayer beta
While getting access to the single player campaign may be impossible for most fans as of the moment, EA has now announced the schedule for the game's multiplayer beta. In a new post on the game's official website, it was revealed that the beta will officially begin in the fall and will be open to players on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Gamers who will pre-order the game will also be getting early access to the beta, but it wasn't really specified when they would be able to download and the play the game.
As an added bonus for those who will pre-order the game, several exclusive contents will also be given away. Pre-order buyers will be given access to several "The Last Jedi" items such as the movie's version of the Millennium Falcon, special costumes for Kylo and Rey, and bonus starfighter Star Cards.
"Star Wars Battlefront 2" is scheduled to be released on Nov. 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
