Fans have been disappointed with the most recent announcement of the delayed release of "Red Dead Redemption 2," however, a fresh set of Screenshots have been released by Rockstar Games to console broken hearted fans. The good thing is, these screens might be hinting to significant information about the upcoming game. Interestingly, several fans have already come up with theories about these latest images.

The main character

The screenshot found below is most likely the main protagonist of the upcoming game. The man is garbed in cowboy clothing with the signature hat and a western looking weapon.

There are several theories claiming that the man is the leader of Marston gang from the previous installment of the game, Dutch van der Linde. According to this theory, the belt of the man shown in the image has a letter D on it. The ring on another image that was released has the same letter on it too. Recent screenshots also in a way ruled out previous theories about multiple protagonists in "Red Dead Redemption 2." The repetitive appearances of the guy in the shots seem to be indicative of his significant role.

Game mechanic

Aside from the main protagonist, according to some fans, the recently released images also reveal a potential game mechanic.

As shown in the picture above, the man, presumed to be the main character, is holding two different guns in his hands. The other gun according to general suggestions is a Smith and Wesson Model 3, while the other one is Colt SAA. The theory is, similar to "Max Payne," the game will allow players to dual-wield two varying weapons at a time.

Dual wielding pistols have always been a part of the Wild West. Although they were not seen in the previous game, it appears that players will have the chance to use them in the highly anticipated sequel or prequel.

The picture above shows a stagecoach accompanied by four cowboys.

Several theories suggest that this might be another mechanic that would involve convoy or guarded raids. Moreover, there is a screenshot of a locomotive, which might also be utilized for fast travel in the world.

Release date

Rockstar Games recently announced that the supposed Fall release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be moved to the Spring of 2018. While it will still be a long wait for fans, it will be interesting to see if the game developer will reveal more details. Also, These screenshots will be teardown in the coming days, and theories will be overwhelming.
