In this busy day and age, sometimes we might not have enough time to spend with our Kids. While they’re off at school, we’re busy trying to finish out deadlines at work. At home, they’re off busy doing their homework while we still have to deal with overtime or maybe even take some of our tasks at home. Because of this, we usually resolve to order take out or some other meal while we barely even interact with our children. In line with this, here are some really easy recipes to make with your kids that won’t take too much of your time.

Octopus hot dogs

Probably a staple family recipe, octopus Hot Dogs are really easy to make and just involve frying. Firstly, you’ll need some hot dogs that you can buy in your local grocery. If you don’t have any on hand, you could always use small sausages instead. Once you have your main ingredient, you just need to make a few cuts up to a little less than half of the hot dog's length. Once that’s done, you can throw them in the frying pan for a few minutes and watch them take on a silly shape. This recipe is great for little kids but remember to handle things like cutting and frying yourself so they don’t get hurt.

Chocolate-Banana sundae

This is another simple dish that even your child can make on their own, as per Real Simple.

This is a great treat to make if you’re planning on watching a movie at home with the kids or you’re looking to make some dessert after a hearty meal. To make this, you’ll need around four small bananas, a pint of vanilla Ice Cream, some chocolate sauce, and sweetened shredded coconut. All you need to do is peel the bananas and put them in a bowl along with the ice cream.

Once that’s done, just lather on some sweet chocolate sauce and garnish with the shredded coconut pieces. You can let your child do the mixing process while you help him/her by peeling the ingredients.

Ham and pineapple pita pizza

Ending off our list, we have this simple pita dish that can substitute your average pizza night.

You’ll need around 4 pitas, 8 ounces of sliced deli ham, an eight-ounce can of drained pineapple chunks, and an eight-ounce freshly sliced mozzarella ball. To start things off, heat the over the 425° F and place the pitas on a baking sheet. From there, layer it with the pineapple, mozzarella, and ham before baking it up to 10 or 12 minutes. Make sure the pitas are crisp and the cheese has fully melted before taking it out of the oven. This is a fun recipe to make as you and your child can take turns putting the ingredients on the pita.
