Anthony Davis has requested a trade and stated that he has no intention of signing the contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Los Angeles Lakers among others are among the possible destinations for the Pelicans power forward, as he states that he wants to go to a team that will give him a chance to compete for a championship. Let's look at teams that Davis has a possibility of joining.
Los Angeles Lakers
This trade is the first that comes to mind, as the Lakers have the intention of bringing more stars to the team. But, they would probably have to offer their young players like Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Brandon Ingram. Also, LeBron James and Davis would be a great duo.
All-Star Anthony Davis‘ agent, Rich Paul, notified the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday that Davis will not sign a contract extension and has requested a trade, Paul says. Davis also had conversations with teammates prior to his decision.

Boston Celtics
The trade here would be Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown and a first-round pick for Anthony Davis. If Celtics are willing to offer Kyrie, the Pelicans would have a hard time not accepting this offer.
Philadelphia 76ers
Although Philadelphia probably wouldn't be the best fit for Davis, the duo with Joel Embiid would probably work out better than the one with DeMarcus Cousins in Pelicans.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are also trying to acquire a superstar, and now they have a chance. If they build a team around Tobias Harris this could play out nicely for them.
Anthony stays with the Pelicans for now
With the trade deadline being so close (Feb.7), it would not be impossible for the Pelicans to wait until the offseason to land a good deal for Davis.
