The Time Magazine has been chosen “The Guardians” as the person of the year. The weekly has made the fearless warriors of the fourth estate including slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi and Capital Gazette staffers as this year’s ‘Person of the year.’

Four B&W covers emphasizing what the weekly calls 'The War on Truth'
The magazine has brought out a series of B&W pictures on its cover, and it includes Jamal Khashoggi who was brutally dismembered and killed in the Saudi Consulate in Turkey.

Another cover features Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, two Reuter’s journalists covering Rohingya Muslims
The world would not have known about the plight of Rohingya Muslims, a persecuted minority in Myanmar. The journalists had to face the wrath of the Myanmar Army and have been behind bars for working on tales of torture and genocide by the majority Buddhists and the army perpetrated on Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State.
