Actress, mom, style icon, and wife of actor Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, recently stirred up the internet with her Instagram activity. Magazines from People to Teen Vogue reported that Lively posted a cryptic message on April 30 before deleting all other posts and unfollowing almost everyone, including her husband of five and a half years. The cryptic message left behind was a hangman game that spelled out "WHAT HAPPENED TO EMILY?" In addition to this clue, her new bio also read "What happened to Emily?"

That is not the only bizarre activity on Lively's account.
She also started only followed Instagram users named Emily Nelson. Several of these users thought they were being spammed or hacked as they tried to figure out why the actress suddenly started following them. One user tweeted "does anyone want to tell me why Blake Lively followed me and has this as a bio? Goodbye cruel world some hacker is anti-Emily, my time has come :-)." Other non-Emily users joked that they wished they could change their name to Emily so they could get a follow from the fashionista, tweeting, "Tempted to change my name to Emily Nelson, so I can get a follow from Blake Lively. Lol."
Although rumors of her being hacked floated around the internet, the activity seemed to be intentional and had something to do with the actress' new role in the movie: "A Simple Favor." This film, also starring Anna Kendrick, is an adaptation of a book about the mysterious disappearance of a woman named Emily Nelson, the role Lively is taking on.

Blake finally got her page up and running again and refollowed her husband. Reynolds commented on the unfollow with his normal dry humor, saying in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, "It definitely stings. It's a terrible way to find out that I've been kicked out of the house, to be honest.
Absolutely terrible. I don't know where rage like that comes from."
In her return post, she captioned it in a similar fashion by posting a picture of one of her outfits and the chaos that can come from wanting to post an outfit and the time-sensitive nature of doing so:
Her activity, although clever and attention-grabbing, gave fans a small heart attack.
However, all seems to be peaches and cream for the actress and her marriage. The mysterious nature of her Instagram post certainly managed to pique the interest of her fans, especially when it comes to her upcoming film.
