Kensington Palace announced on Friday more details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding that will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Some of the questions people have been asking were answered. However, some things are left to be seen on the big day.

1. Role of parents

A statement provided by Kensington Palace confirmed that Meghan Markle's divorced parents will be by her side at her wedding.

Thomas Markle Sr. and Doria Ragland will arrive in England a week before the wedding to meet privately with Queen Elizabeth and some of the other royals before their daughter officially becomes part of their family.

Usually, the mother is in the background during a wedding and the father is the one who is seen. Meghan is very close to her mother, so she found a way for her mother to be part of her wedding. Ragland will ride in the car with her daughter to the wedding, and her father will walk her down the aisle.

2. Prince William and his children

It was announced last week that Prince Harry had asked his older brother to be his best man and Prince William accepted the honor.

When Prince William married Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011, Prince Harry was his best man.

Prince William's 4-year-old son, Prince George will be a page boy and his 3-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte will serve as a bridesmaid.

3. No maid of honor

Even though it is a practice for American brides to have a maid of honor, Meghan has chosen not to have one. A palace spokesman indicated that Meghan has so many close friends that she did not want to choose one from among the others. All of her bridesmaids and page boys will be children which is a royal tradition.

4. Wedding dress

The wedding dress is still a secret as well as the designer. According to the latest news about the gown, Meghan might not wear a white dress because she has been married before.

It could be an off-white or a subtle blush hue. Experts say no matter how the dress is made, it is a royal wedding rule that the arms must be covered. Even though Meghan pushes the envelope when it comes to fashion, it is doubtful that she will do it on the most important day of her life when all of England and millions of people around the world will have their eyes on her.

5. Princess Diana will be honored

Prince Harry wanted members of his late mother's family involved in his wedding. All of the Princess Diana's siblings will be present at their nephew's wedding. Diana's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, will provide a reading during the ceremony.

6. Attendees

Newborn Prince Louis will be three weeks old at the time of the wedding, but he will not attend with his parents.

Prince Harry's grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh will attend. The 96-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth had a hip replacement last month, and he had not been attending any recent royal events.

More than 1,000 commoners were invited onto the grounds of Windsor Castle for the wedding.

7. Food stalls and live entertainment

The town will be decorated with banners along parts of the procession route. Food stalls and big screens will be set up, and there will be live entertainment.
