The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" is finally here. While we were completely in awe with the events of the first episode, the preview of the second installment in the seventh season of the show points in the direction of a beautiful reunion. The tiny detail has left us even more excited and thrilled for the second episode.
If you are thinking of the reunion of Bran and Arya with Jon and Sansa, then you are on the wrong track. The unification of the Stark lads is inevitable, and we are already waiting for it to happen.
The twenty-one-second preview of the "Game of Thrones" episode "Stormborn" shows a glimpse of the long-lost direwolf of Arya Stark, Nymeria making her comeback after a long span of six seasons.
The glance at Nymeria in the trailer has given us really high hopes for the reunification of two Long Lost friends, Arya and Nymeria.
The Starks and their loyal dire wolves
Let's take a tour back to the first episode of the "Game of Thrones" debutant season when the wolves were introduced, little did we know about the crucial role the little creatures would assume in the show eventually. But with time, we witnessed the loyal and faithful nature of the pets ready to sacrifice themselves for their masters’ protection.
It was heartbreaking to see them parting from the Stark kids only after a little while, with Nymeria being the first one when Arya sent her away to save the ‘direwolf' from execution.
Following this, Sansa's direwolf Lady, died an unfortunate death without any fault because of the loathsome Joffrey Baratheon, son of King Robert Baratheon and heir to the ‘Iron Throne' thus, making us hate him even more.
The outrageous "Red Wedding" saw the slaughter of Robb Stark's dire wolf, Grey Wind and we literally lost our cool with the Frays when we saw his head sewn on Robb's beheaded body.
The dire wolf of Rickon Stark was killed monstrously by the wicked Umber while Brandon's wolf, Summer faced an awful death bravely fighting the wights beyond the wall, serving his master. The death of each ‘direwolf’ made us gloomy but it was the death of Summer’ that moved us to tears.
Expectations for some dire wolf action
The unfortunate slaughters of four direwolves out of the six have honestly got us wanting to see Jon's Ghost and Arya's Nymeria standing beside their masters.
After the amazing trailer, we are keeping our fingers crossed with the hopes of seeing Nymeria back again alongside Arya. We really wish some happiness for Arya because the poor girl has already suffered a great deal in the past six seasons and is in an exceptional need for a trusting ally while she wanders the world ticking off her bucket list.
