Dandruff is either caused by a skin condition known as seborrheic dermatitis or the result of a dry scalp. Indian lilac

Indian lilac is best known for its antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps treat hair fall and dandruff to a great extent. Indian lilac also promotes the growth of healthy and strong hair. It is widely used in antiseptics, anti-dandruff shampoos, and Chinese medicines. Due to its distinct properties, Indian lilac is sold in all parts of the world in the form of oil. You can naturally prepare a lotion at home – boil a few leaves in two cups of water and allow it to cool. Then apply to the affected area and rinse it off after two hours for desired results. You can also include olive oil or almond oil to the mixture for better results.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil nourishes your hair follicles and treats dandruff in a matter of hours.

You can prepare a mixture of coconut oil and lemon juice to prevent hair fall. Heat three teaspoons of coconut oil, and mix in a few drops of lemon juice. Massage your scalp every night before going to bed, and rinse it off the next day with a quality shampoo. Repeat the process three times per week for incredible results.

Baking soda

Baking soda acts as a powerful anti-dandruff agent. It removes dead cells and can absorb excessive oil, balancing pH level on the scalp. Baking soda also reduces the growth of bacteria, viruses, and fungi that cause dandruff. Prepare a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice, and water, and rub onto your scalp. After two hours, rinse it off with cold water.

Repeat the process three to four times a week for fantastic results.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is one of the best remedies for dandruff. It acts as a powerful agent against dandruff-causing microbes. Pour two to three drops of tea tree oil onto your scalp and massage for a few minutes. Let it soak for fifteen minutes and wash off with a quality shampoo. Alternatively, you can prepare a mixture of tea tree oil and lavender oil for better results.
