"Pokemon GO [VIDEO]" developer, Niantic, launched a legendary Week Event on February 23. This is a great opportunity for players to battle and capture three Legendary Pokemon in Raid Battles. The game's latest Legendary Week event will end on March 5, followed by the activation of a special in-game bonus. However, this depends on the number of each Legendary Pokemon defeated and captured during the event. Therefore, this is the time to test your mettle against the most powerful Pokemon we are yet to encounter in "Pokemon GO." The Legendary Pokemon featured in the event include Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Groudon.

Nature of the event

According to Niantic, the battles with these Legendary Pokemon will be exceptionally difficult.

This means that you will need some powerful fellow players, and strong Pokemon to battle and capture them. According to "Pokemon GO" developer, Niantic, if Rayquaza is defeated more than the other two Legendary Pokemon, namely, Kyogre and Groudon, a windy weather Pokemon such as Bagon will hatch from Eggs, while a sunny or rainy weather Pokemon will hatch from Eggs, if more Kyogre and Groudon are defeated than Rayquaza.

Due to the toughness of the game [VIDEO], Niantic has added new boxes to the game’s store, in order to help players during the event. The new boxes contain Raid Passes, which players can use to battle these powerful Pokemon.

How to catch the Legendary Pokemon

Kyogre is a straight Water-type Tier 5 Legendary Raid Boss with a CP of 51,968. In order to defeat and capture it, you should have at least a party of five players.

This is because Kyogre floats and is, at the same time, distant from players, which makes it extremely difficult to catch. Also, it is not advisable to throw curve balls against it, in order to prevent damages. Raikon, Zapdos, Sceptile, Exeggutor, Venusaur, and Jolteon are the best Kyogre counters in the game.

Groudon is a straight Ground- type Tier 5 Legendary Raid Boss, with a CP of 51,968. In order to defeat and capture it, you need a party of at least six players. Gyceptile, Vaporeon, Mewto, and Venasaur are the best Groudon counters in the game.

Rayquaza is a Dragon and Flying-type Legendary Raid Boss with CP of 45,468. It is the master of Kyogre and Groudon. It is the best Dragon-type attacker and a top generalist attacker. In order to defeat and capture it, you need at least five fellow trainers. Rayquaza is weak against Ice, Fairy, Rock, and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Lapras, Articuno, Dragonite, and Jynx.
