EA DICE's "#Battlefield 1" has been around for quite some time now, even receiving its first ever major expansion, "They Shall Not Pass" just last month. The first-person shooter video game has received positive reviews from both critics and players alike since it was released in October last year, and following the release of its first major DLC, the game is set to receive a new "#Nivelle Nights" multiplayer map in June. As expected, the new multiplayer map will be made available to "Battlefield 1" #Premium Pass holders first.

Darkness falls over the new 'Nivelle Nights' multiplayer map

"Battlefield 1" Premium Pass holders will be the first ones to get their hands on the new multiplayer map, which is set in Chemin des Dames in 1917.

It is the first ever map to feature nighttime in "Battlefield 1," and is already in the community test environment (CTE) for public testing. EA DICE released the photo above, giving players a first look at the upcoming map.

Aside from this map, the latest CTE update also features two new weapon skins for the N1911. The first is "Package from Home," which is a Distinguished skin and "The Care Package," which is a Legendary skin. There's no word yet on how these skins can be obtained, so players must watch out for further updates from EA DICE regarding these new weapon skins.

As for the new multiplayer map, EA DICE offered a description that reads, "As darkness falls over the muddy battlefields around Malmaison and Soupir, French and German batteries prepare to yet again support their troops on the contested ground."

"The moon, the searchlights, and the artillery lights up the night skies, exposing the vast network of trenches.

Bite and hold as your foe will fight for every inch of ground. Strategy and teamwork will overcome those who have neither."

More content coming soon to "Battlefield 1"

As per VG247, the new "Neville Nights" multiplayer map for "Battlefield 1" Premium Pass holders will be the first map that is not part of any expansion packs. Unfortunately for those who do not have the Premium Pass, this map will not be made available to them just yet.

To learn more about the upcoming multiplayer map, make sure to check out the video below. In the meantime, players should also anticipate the arrival of monthly "Battlefield 1" updates as opposed to the traditional seasonal patches. EA DICE is committed to bringing players "more of what you want, faster than ever," as indicated in a recent post on their official website.

Additionally, "Battlefield 1" players should also look forward to the Spring Update, which will feature Platoons, which will let players "organize and join forces with your friends, execute swift victories, and achieve goals as one unit." There's no release date attached to the Spring Update just yet, but Premium Pass holders can look forward to the arrival of the new multiplayer map for "Battlefield 1" this June.
