The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel will likely introduce Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and details of the release date and special features of film's Blu-ray.
Who is Ms. Marvel?
In the comics, Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American teenager living in Jersey City, NJ and is obsessed with superheroes. Little does she know that she is actually an Inhuman after being exposed to the Terrigen Mist from the Terrigen Bomb during the events of "Inhumanity."
Kamala is a polymorph with the ability to stretch, grow, and embiggened her body similar to Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic.
She took on the mantle of Ms. Marvel with Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel's blessing and has starred in her own self-titled comic book series. Kamala became a member of the Avengers and the current founder and leader of the teenage superhero team, "The Champions."
Since the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel is set for July 5, 2018, will Marvel Studios introduce to Kamala Khan to Tom Holland's Peter Parker during the events of the film?
The "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel will kick-off phase 4 of the MCU, and the studio may introduce more teenage superheroes to their next lineup of projects. With that in mind, it seems that Kamala will fit right in the MCU since she has the same enthusiastic and heroic demeanor as the MCU version of Peter Parker.
The problem, however, is that her status as an Inhuman could have an issue in the adding her to the "Spider-Man" sequel since there have been no mentions or hints about the Inhumans in the films. The Inhumans are heavily featured in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and their upcoming self-titled TV series.
Perhaps, Marvel Studios will find a way to add Kamala in the "Spidey" sequel without any sort of problem and they will reveal more concrete details for the movie after phase 3.
