“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, 31, has been dating English songstress FKA Twigs, 29, since September 2014 and has been rumored to be engaged. However, the couple has been extremely silent about their relationship, which is surrounded by controversies. The actor also dated his co-star Kristen Stewart in 2008 but broke up in 2012 following the latter’s alleged romance with Rupert Sanders. K-Stew is now dating Victoria’s Secret Angel model Stella Maxwell but it seems that fans continue to link the former couple with each other.
Recently, R-Patz has somewhat confirmed that he is already engaged to the singer-songwriter but admits he is having a hard time.
R-Patz confirms engagement with Twigs
During his interview with Howard Stern last week on Sirius XM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” Robert Pattinson was asked whether he is already engaged to FKA Twigs. R-Patz replied directly that he is “kind of” engaged to the songstress but said that he is having a hard time with his relationship because of the “crazies.” "It's one of the most frustrating things in the world because you want to be able to show off a relationship," he said. "You kind of get stuck in this position where you have to make decisions whether you want to let the kind of crazy people in." Apparently, he is disappointed with some fans scrutinizing his relationship and said that it’s what that makes it difficult.
Robert Pattinson is obviously referring to the fans of “The Twilight Saga” that are still at it until now and can’t get over everything that has happened. He also said that his fiancée has been ridiculed on social media by some fans and faces racial criticism just because she is dating him. R-Patz went on to say that he always try to patch out the hatred that the faceless enemies bring to them but admitted that he doesn’t always succeed.
He also described the haters as professional trolls who are so fascinated with causing pain on both of them.
R-Patz and K-Stew to reunite?
While Robert Pattinson seemed to be disappointed with the haters about his relationship with FKA Twigs, other fans are wondering whether he will reunite with Kristen Stewart for a new TV show.
Recently, “The Twilight Saga” author Stephenie Meyer confirmed that she will executive produce a new supernatural show titled “The Rook” that’s based on a novel by Australian author Daniel O’Malley. Since this is a supernatural show, fans are quick to speculate that R-Patz and K-Stew might land the lead roles. If it happens, it will certainly bring so much happiness to all Twi-hards.
