Rhianna has hit back at body-shamers with a comment on a sassy Instagram video of the star. According to Shape magazine, internet trolls have been commenting on the star's weight gain over the last few months. The 29-year-old singer is not having any of it though and has shut down the negativity with a simple comment. According to the publication, Rihanna commented on a fan's repost of a video of her taken in 2015. The video shows Rhianna shopping for snacks while being filmed by a friend who points out how much food she has in her hands. Her best friend Melissa Forde shouts "stop judging her!" in response to the friend's comment.
Rhianna bursts into laughter along with the friend filming the interaction. A fan recently reposted the video telling the star to ignore those who are calling her fat and to eat what she wants. Rihanna took to Instagram and responded under the fan's post saying "Somebody called me too fat?" accompanied by three laughing/crying emojis.
Rhianna's year so far
Rihanna has had quite a year so far. Just last Wednesday, the star met French President Emmanuel Macron and first lady Brigitte in Paris to talk about France's involvement with the Global Partnership for Education. The star was cast in the new sci-fi movie "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" and for the film's premiere, caught the eye of everyone in a gorgeous baby pink Giambattista Valli gown.
In May, the star put her fashion foot forward again when she showed up at the 2017 Met Gala wearing a truly artistic dress by Commes des Garcons. For the after-party, the star wore a silk pajama-like shirt with feathers and accessories. Rihanna stunned many at this year's Coachella Festival, wearing unique and utterly creative ensembles.
On top of that, the star brought Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, and ex-PM Julia Gillard together to help her raise awareness about the state of Malawi's education system for young people.
Rhianna goes on romantic getaway with boyfriend
According to The Sun, Rihanna was spotted on holiday with her boyfriend, 29-year-old Jameel Hassan, at the end of June.
The couple was seen in Ibiza and mainland Spain, enjoying drinks together and kissing. Rihanna and Jameel have reportedly been dating since January 2017 and Rihanna has traveled to the UK to visit her boyfriend on a number or occasions. Jameel's family own dealership rights to well-known car brand "Toyota" and he is in line to take over the family business. He is currently the vice-chairman of the company in Saudi Arabia.
