The season finale of “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 featured a big cliffhanger that kept its fans on the edge of their seat. To recall, the final scene showed the Litchfield’s inmates being accompanied onto two different buses. Does this mean that the prisoners will be taken to separate correctional?

If this will indeed happen in “Orange is the New Black” Season 6, viewers are now worried that their favorite characters, friendships, and relationships will be torn apart. One of the fan-favorite pairs that are about to be separated is Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales (Jackie Cruz) and Maritza Ramos (Diane Guerrero).

The broken relationships

Also known as Flaritza, their friendship is invaluable. Now that they might be taken apart in “Orange is the New Black” Season 6, fans are hoping that they could be together again, Movie Pilot reported.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Selenis Leyva, who plays the role of Gloria Mendoza, said that there is a big possibility that the inmates will be separated after the three-day riot. “Nothing will ever, ever be the same,” she warned.

The 45-year-old star revealed that even the Litchfield Penitentiary and the women will never be the same. Any prisoners who survived the ordeal will definitely live “a whole new world.” “We've become very used to Litchfield,” she added.

Asked if there would still be Litchfield, she simply said that everything is about to change drastically for those who managed to get out alive. “That's scary," she continued.

The unpredictable prisoner’s life

Additionally, in a different interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dascha Polanco, who portrays Daya Diaz, explained that the life in prison can be very unpredictable.

There is an uncertainty that a prisoner could die anytime while living behind bars. There is also a possibility of getting transferred into a different correctional, if the inmate would just stay in one place, or if they will be ever get freed. Does this mean that they will be separated in “Orange is the New Black” Season 6?

It remains uncertain if fans are about to see two new prisons in the next season of the comedy-drama web series. It is not yet even revealed if the inmates are going to be brought into different facilities. So, viewers should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt as Netflix has yet to confirm these theories.
