The cast of "Outlander" Season 3, including Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, will be attending the 2017 Comic-Con. The Starz time traveller series has been attending the event for years and it has already become a tradition for the show to release a full trailer and spoilers during the SDCC. Can fans expect the same this year?

End of production for Season 3

Production has officially come to a close for "Outlander" Season 3. According to Cinema Blend, Sam Heughan shared the good news through a post on Twitter along with a photo of his character, Jamie Fraser, on a bike.

The cast and crew have seemingly taken quite a long time to film the scenes for the upcoming season of the Starz time traveller series, as it was initially expected to end in May.

The show's change to a new set location from Scotland to South Africa is one of the reasons behind the delay in the release of "Outlander" Season 3. The drama, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's books, usually airs its new season in April or May, but for the third season, fans will have to wait till September to see what the future holds for Jamie and Claire.

While there are still a couple of months left before the Starz drama drops its new episodes on TV, fans are expecting to see a full trailer for Season 3 soon. TV Line has confirmed that the cast and crew of "Outlander" will be attending this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

Trailer, teasers and more from Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and cast

The annual Comic-Con is usually a haven for fans, as it is often a perfect venue for the release of trailers and spoilers of most TV shows. In this year's SDCC, fans are expecting that the Starz drama will be releasing its full trailer during the event. The show has been releasing a couple of teasers here and there, but many fans are looking forward to the release of a more detailed trailer.

More "Outlander" Season 3 spoilers are also expected to be released during the 2017 SDCC, including some details about the fourth season since the Starz drama has already been renewed till Season 4. It is known that the third season of the series will feature all of the major events from Gabaldon's third book, "Voyager," which is why many fans are also looking forward to hearing more about the highly anticipated print-shop reunion scene between Jamie and Claire, as this marks their first reunion in 20 years. Others are also expecting to hear details about the cast's experiences while filming in South Africa.
