The conclusion of season 13 brought enough drama in the lives of the series' cast so the expectation of new and exciting love stories in the new season are high. Arizona Robbins' (Jessica Capshaw) story, in particular, caught the viewers attention.
The show's season 12 featured the pediatric surgeon's colorful marriage to Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) that eventually ended in a nasty divorce and custody battle.
Despite the rocky story of their relationship, they were able to patch things and came up to an agreement that will benefit their daughter Sophia. In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 when it looked like Arizona was all set to be in another relationship, things took a toll when Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominzyck), her supposed new love interest got fired from the hospital.

According to CinemaBlend, her elusive love life story line may be brought in by the fact that at the end of Season 12, Capshaw was very much pregnant with her third child. And in the first two episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13, it was noticeable how she did not opt to have a role. Nevertheless, her story was one of the most followed ones in the series.
According to showrunner Shonda Rhimes, it was even elected during Season 12 that she has a permanent love interest similar to that of Callie Torres who is now, according to the storyline, with Penny in New York.
In some previous news about the character of Arizona Robbins, the surgeon was also known to be a womanizer, something that the writer and producer may also want to keep in order to make Arizona live up to her characteristics.
In the new season of "Grey's Anatomy," it's not yet known whether she will have a new relationship, or continue to be with Dr. Minnick despite getting fired from her job.

Meanwhile, another character also left the show after the last season concluded. Jericka Hinton who plays Stephanie Wilson opted out for Season 14 saying she wanted to try something else. Shonda Rhimes has been more than accommodating and wished the actress success in her new endeavor. Meanwhile, her character was kept alive just like that of Callie Torres meaning there's a chance they can come back for a particular episode.
