Is it Watergate all over again? President Trump claims Obama wire tapped his phones before the election. The President has tweeted that the Obama Administration wire tapped his tower before the presidential election. Trump has no proof of this, but still has been tweeting it all over Twitter.

Is it possible for the former President to wiretap a presidential candidate? Obama took many liberties when he was president, and wanted the continuation of his policies, and with Hillary Clinton that would happen, so why not wiretap the competition?

Is history repeating itself?

The present President has sized up many of the former President`s actions since he took office. While scrutinizing these actions, Trump claims to have discovered that Barack Obama had Trump Tower phones tapped, and only weeks before the November election 2016. Obama did not personally deny any of this, but a spokesman for the former president did.

Without even offering evidence, on Saturday President Trump accused Obama of tapping his phones at the tower a month before the election. This revelation may just be to much for the American public to accept, especially those individuals that were very into Obama as president. Interesting how history can repeat itself.

The President was tweeting Saturday about wiretapping

President Trump tweeted many tweets on Twitter claiming Obama had wire tapped Trump Tower and compared Obama to Nixon, Watergate, and the wire tapping to McCarthyism.

“How low has President Obama gone to tap (sic) my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate.

Bad (or sick) guy!” Trump tweeted.

There has been many responses to his tweets by his followers who believe Obama did do a wiretap. There are longstanding laws and procedures in place to ensure a presidents cannot wiretap a rival for political purposes. Obama did many things against the constitution as President, so it could be possible that he wiretapped the tower to try and ensure Hillary Clinton became his predecessor. Time will tell if history is really repeating itself.
