'Mortal Kombat' classic character Sub-Zero will officially join the brawl in 'Injustice 2' next week after Red Hood debuted at E3 2017 last month. But before the lethal fighter becomes playable in the game, NetherRealm Studios has announced the Watchtower stream will be happening this Friday, July 7.
Watchtower Stream announced
On Twitter, the game developer has invited the loyal fans to chill out with the team for a special Watchtower Stream event. It is set to take place on Friday, July 7 at 1:00 p.m. PDT or 3:00 p.m. CDT.

Despite that the announcement did not mention what fans can expect from the live stream, it is obvious that it will show off the next DLC character from 'Mortal Kombat' universe.
Fans will finally get a first in-depth look at the character's gameplay to showcase his abilities, especially his famous Ice Klone attack to freeze his adversaries.
Players can already have a look at Sub-Zero and his formidable gear as well as his Reptile shader in the game, although, he can only be unlocked and played beginning July 11.
Sub-Zero introduction trailer
NetherRealm Studios first offered a look at the 'Mortal Kombat' character in his introduction trailer that was released a few weeks ago. It is noted that in the gameplay video, Sub-Zero appears to be a close range fighter, however, he also owns several mid-range attacks and projectiles that make him as an unpredictable enemy.
His set of powerful abilities include coating the ground in ice, freezing his opponents, and some offense throws to beat his strongest enemies.
It is expected that fans will get more glimpse at his fatal moves at the Watchtower stream tomorrow, prior to his official launching to 'Injustice 2' on Tuesday next week.
What to expect next in Injustice 2
The Watchtower stream will give fans an opportunity to watch the development team and QA people get hands-on with new characters and demo the best strategies in using their abilities, pokes, combos and counter attacks during a match.
Once Sub-Zero is unlocked as a DLC character, Starfire comes next as final fighter to be added to the game from Fighter Pack 1.
'Injustice 2' will be adding six more DLC characters post-launch, but NetherRealm has yet to reveal the next set of fighters soon. If speculations are any indication, another 'Mortal Kombat' character will be joining as a guest character as well.
'Injustice 2' is available now on Xbox One and PS4 platforms. It is not yet officially confirmed if a PC version is in the works.
