Admirers of the royal couple worldwide have hailed the news of the soon-to-arrive third royal baby. As if the internet didn’t have enough cuteness to handle with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, this new royal addition is sure to keep the shutterbugs busy when it arrives. Just like the first two pregnancies, the 35-year-old Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, commonly known as severe morning sickness.

Understanding the need to make the pregnancy announcements before the 12-week mark

Most women announce their pregnancies after the 12-week mark, which is when the first scan is done.

However, that isn’t the case with the Duchess. Her pregnancy with Prince George and Prince Charlotte were announced very early due to the Hyperemesis Gravidarum condition that she suffers from. This condition can cause severe dehydration and affects only one in 200 pregnancies. Nicholas Witchell, BBC’s royal correspondent has stated that royal family may have been literally forced to make the announcement early due to her Royal Highness’ condition.

This week is quite important for the royal family as Prince George, 4, will be starting school at Thomas’s Battersea on Thursday. This is a huge milestone, which the Duchess may not want to miss. The Duke And Duchess were also scheduled to go on a foreign trip this autumn.

However, due to her health condition, whether the Duchess will be able to join the family on these occasions or not remains to be seen.

She will also not be able to carry out her engagements at the Hornsey Road Children's Centre in London today.

The royal couple’s third child to be fifth in line to the throne

The Duke and Duchess’ third child will be fifth in line to the throne after Prince Charles, Prince Williams, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.

The new addition would mean that Prince Harry will be sixth in line to the throne.

According to some Royal family followers, for the third child to become the King or Queen is quite rare. It happened for the first time, when the William IV, the third child of George III and Queen Charlotte took the throne and ruled between 1830 and 1837.

He took the throne at the age of 64 when his two elder brothers, George VI and Frederick died without a legitimate heir.

Prince Harry stated that he was very happy to hear the fantastic news. The Duke of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall took to Twitter to express their delight on hearing the news. Theresa May, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom also tweeted her congratulations to the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge. Tweets speculating the gender of the baby, possible names and the due date exploded on the internet today with #Royal Baby.
