Apple is announcing a number of tech salvos, designed to beef up the company’s main arsenal. The latest moves will target all four major platforms, namely the iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. The tech giant’s latest iOS update will target privacy and security. The upcoming software will limit Accelerator and Gyroscope Access in its Apple Safari, the company’s web browser.

According to Apple Insider, advertising companies are getting worried about this latest action, which allows Safari users to block websites requesting access to the device’s motion sensor.

Apple has come under fire from various ad agencies after the release of this huge update. However, the Cupertino-based company explains that they’re doing this for privacy reasons, for the protection of their users.

In addition, the latest update also introduces a new Motion and Orientation Access features. This new addition can be found in the Safari’s Setting under the Privacy & Security category. Toggled off by default, the new Motion, and Orientation Access features must be turned on first by the user in order for websites to access the precious motion sensor data from the device’s gyroscope and accelerator.
