Video-sharing is a transformational force in the world today. After launching two subscription services, Morgan Stanley furnished information to investors on May 18 and estimated YouTube's worth at $160 billion.
The popular video-streaming and social media network launched two new services. According to Mediatkix, the two new rollouts are YouTube Premium and YouTube music.
The site was originally founded in 2005 and was later acquired by Google for $1.65 billion. Now the company under new reorganization is known as Alphabet. Google's market capitalization is approximately $742 billion.
With these new estimates released by Morgan Stanley, it projects YouTube to be one-fourth of Google's worth.
Elsewhere, the valuation of YouTube makes it a formidable business venture. As reported by Business Insider, its current worth surpasses Disney's market cap of $155 billion, Comcast's worth of $150 billion and Netflix's worth of $141 billion.
YouTube has produced record-setting growth and an active user base
It comes as no surprise as to why the platform is popular on many fronts. It is a source for disseminating news, entertainment, video game reviews and more.

In an analysis by Factslides dot com, every minute, more than 100 hours of video are uploaded to the site alone.
Furthermore, YouTube has over a billion users, which is nearly one-third of all people on the web. In the above Mediakix post, the number of channels on the site earning six figures has grown over 40 percent. It is nothing short of incredible considering the site has been around 13 years.
And here's the thing: YouTube doesn't give a shit. Even though they COULD - spun off as an independent entity, Morgan Stanley values YouTube as worth $160 BILLION dollars. So they HAVE the capital to fight back against labels now... but they choose not to: https://t.co/6rx93oI1DQ

As previously mentioned, YouTube has over 1 billion users.
The next stat will make it even more impressive regarding the performance and traction the site generates. This social media-dedicated video channel has 1.5 billion active monthly users.
When it comes to livestreaming, the website is a resource for current events. For example, the 2018 Coachella live stream was viewed by 41 million people.
The Royal Wedding was viewed 11.2 million times.
Video content on YouTube has a large viewership
Overall, YouTube has a substantial size when it comes to users active on the platform, and is a profitable channel to promote a variety of services.
The numbers and traffic are something Google can boast about. Facebook ranks number one as far as the total number of users. Nevertheless, the video content shared and created on YouTube seems to have a larger viewership compared to Facebook.
