Everyone understands the struggle of having to cut out a membership to pay for another one for the month. You want to listen to music with no commercials and still be able to watch your favorite shows when you feel like being a couch potato. Talk about first world problems, right? Thankfully, there's a solution.
Spotify and Hulu are creating a subscription bundle that only costs $12.99. Before this deal was created, you'd have to pay $18 in order to have both services; $9.99 for Spotify Premium and $7.99 for Hulu. But now, those days are over.
This deal is a no-brainer
As of this moment, this deal is only available to current Spotify Premium members, but according to a report by The Verge, there are plans to extend the deal to everyone by this summer. So, when someone makes a brand-new Spotify account for the very first time, they'll soon have the option to opt-in to also pay for Hulu. Or if you already pay for Hulu, then maybe you'd want to consider tossing in a few more bucks to make a pretty solid summer playlist for that one road trip your dude friends want to do.
What makes this deal even more attractive is that if you act now, you can get Hulu for a whopping 99 cents for three months. If people are still on the fence about all of this, they can see this introduction deal as sort of a free trial for Hulu.
After three months, if you've either binge-watched all the TV shows you wanted to see or if there's not a single show that catches your fancy, then you can simply cancel out Hulu. At the end of the day, the only thing that was lost was a dollar.
More information
It makes sense that this deal exists because Spotify went public on the New York Stock Exchange last week.
With the inclusion of Hulu, both streaming companies are hoping for a huge boost in numbers. And if it feels like you've heard of this deal before, that's because you have. The deal of the decade for the broke college students is only $4.99 for the same package that's now being offered to everyone.
Both companies also made this process as painless as possible.
According to CNET, once you start paying for the subscription bundle, everything switches over to just paying Spotify. If you're an existing Hulu member, you'll still have access to your account settings on Hulu's website and adjust the billing accordingly.
If that paycheck isn't coming until next week, don't fret. This incredible deal will be available until May 10. So you'll have a few weeks to acquire both services and start listening to Spotify's incredible playlists and Hulu's engaging shows.
