Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23 and the device has received a lot of popularity in the smartphone space. Samsung, as well as carriers in the U.S., have received high numbers of preorders for the phone. Many major U.S. carriers have even come up with attractive offers in a bid to increase the preorder rates of the phone. For instance, T-Mobile announced that it would be shipping the preordered devices some days prior to that of the actual release date of September 15. Now, it seems Samsung itself has taken a page out of T-Mobile's marketing scheme, as the South Korean company is also promising early shipment of the latest phablets.
Early shipment of the device
According to a PhoneArena report, a user who preordered the unlocked variant of the mobile phone from Samsung's own website may receive it earlier than its original release date as well. According to the report, Samsung will offer this special perk to only those customers who decided to preorder the handsets from the company directly.
In fact, one customer who had placed a preorder with Samsung revealed that he may receive the phone as early as September 5, which is around 10 days earlier than the official release date. This is the first time that Samsung has started shipment such a long time ahead of the official release date, as it did not do the same during this year's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ handsets.
Usually, most preorder customers tend to receive the handsets around 2 or 3 days prior to the official release.
Some Sprint and Verizon customers were also reportedly going to receive their Galaxy Note 8 devices quite a bit earlier than expected. For instance, one user posted an image of their preorder status, which showed that the Galaxy Note 8 had already shipped on September 2 and was expected to be arriving by September 4.
So, it seems that most preorder customers will likely get the handset before September 15.
