Xiaomi confirmed on Thursday, 7 September that they will take the wraps off Mi Mix 2 alongside Mi Note 3 at an event on 11 September. According to a report by Xiaomi Today, a new rumor suggests that the company is also working towards introducing its next-generation Notebook on the same day.

Everything you need to know

Xiaomi is speculated to add to its Mi Notebook line-up with the launch of a new option on September 11, so the event could be more exciting than ever before. Sadly, there is not too much evidence to gather regarding the laptop’s possible features.

According to a report by Android Headlines, the device might feature a 15.6-inch display with touchscreen abilities. The resolution of the screen is not known yet, but rumors suggest that it will be extraordinary.

It is further speculated to extend support for 4G Lte networks. Since its predecessors included Wi-Fi abilities, the same will be featured on this one as well. Keeping up with the advancing technology, the latest Xiaomi laptop will include at least more than two kinds of configurations. There’s not much to know regarding that RAM and storage options now. Xiaomi always provides an abundance of storage in its products, so it doesn’t seem like this will be a problem.

Here are the specs and the features

Xiaomi was rumored earlier this year to launch Mi Notebook Air 2. This is believed to be the one speculated to launch on 11 September. Prevailing rumors indicate that the laptop will include support for two types of charging ports, 20V/2.25A and 20V/3.25A. The product is believed to extend support for the power supply that goes up to 60W.

As far as its Mi Mix 2 is concerned, the smartphone will have a bezel-less design. It will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and will offer 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage options and users will be able to choose from either 128GB or 256GB.

The handset may include a dual rear camera setup, which seems to be becoming fairly standard with new devices hitting the market this year.

While pricing information of the device hasn’t yet been discussed, as it releases a day ahead of Apple’s big iPhone 8 launch, Xiaomi has an upper hand over them in their home market. Apple products are generally less preferred in China.

It is not long to go before consumers will be able to see the final products. September is always an exciting time for tech enthusiasts. In just a short while the Mi Mix 2 alongside Mi Note 3, the Apple iPhone 8 and possibly a next-generation Notebook will see the light of day.
