Xiaomi does not only rule the smartphone market but has a significant amount of impact in the laptop segment as well. The Chinese electronics manufacturer recently announced its latest, Mi Notebook Air laptop in the market. The device packs a 13.3-inch display and a Fingerprint Sensor that is located on the upper right-hand corner of the model. Furthermore, the laptop is powered by the seventh-generation Intel Core processor — a worthy upgrade from its predecessor’s sixth-generation processor. Alongside this, it also comes with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphic card — another quality upgrade from last year’s NVIDIA GeForce 940MX.
Specs and features of Xiaomi laptop
As reported by Indian Express, the latest Xiaomi laptop is an upgraded version of the original ‘Mi Notebook Air 13.3.’ The upgrades include in terms of the processor in the laptop and other prominent features. As can be recalled, the Mi Notebook Air was first launched in July 2016. At that time, the device came packed with Windows 10 software, 6th-generation Intel Core processor, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX and a slightly smaller display. The latest Xiaomi Mi Notebook, on the other hand, packs a whole new experience altogether. The laptop comes with the latest 7th-generation Intel Core processor coupled with NVIDIA’s MX150 graphic card that offers up to 2GB GDDR5.
Moreover, the laptop also sports a fingerprint sensor. The sensor has been embedded on the right-hand side of the laptop’s trackpad. As far as the other specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air packs a 13.3-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions) display tagged along with a screen-to-body ratio of 16:9.
According to Xiaomi, after they added Intel's 7th-generation Core processor, the laptop’s performance enhanced by around ten per cent. Apart from this, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air further offers 8GB DDR4 RAM. The laptop comes in two storage options, namely 128GB PCIe SSD and 256 PCIe SSD. The best part about the latest Xiaomi laptop is that it also features a new, custom-made AKG dual 2W Dolby Audio speaker for an enhanced audio experience.
9.5-hours of battery backup
The company, at the time of the announcement, went on to claim that the latest Mi Mix Notebook Air 13.3’s battery life is so good, that it can last up to 9.5 hours on a single charge. The laptop packs 40Wh battery with support for Fast Charging technology. The laptop packs two USB 3.0 ports, namely Type-C port and HDMI port.
