nokia has made a comeback in the smartphone market recently. The company has released a number of phones including Nokia 8 and Nokia 6.HMD is reportedly working on two new smartphones, the successor to the Nokia 8 and a cheaper version of the Nokia 3. The alleged Nokia 2 is said to be HMD Global’s most affordable smartphone to date and might sell at a price of $90. An image shared on Chinese micro-blogging website Baidu reveals the design of the alleged smartphone. The phone has passed through the FFC in the US.

The well-known tipster, Evan Blass also posted a picture of the forthcoming Nokia smartphone.

The rumors suggest that the device will come with an LED flash on both front and back panel housed next to the cameras. The image shows the device will ship in Black And White color options. The smartphone will be sans the home button, meaning it will have on-screen buttons for navigation. Earlier, the whole spec sheet of the forthcoming smartphone was leaked online. As per the leaked spec sheet, the Nokia 2 will sport a 5-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 212 processor backed by 1GB of RAM.

Price, specs, and features of the phone

The device is also tipped to come in four variants, where two will support SIMs, while the other two will have support for dual SIMs.

The Nokia 2 is expected to runs the purest form of Android Nougat. The phone might pack an 8MP rear camera, while there will be a 5MP front-facing snapper also on-board. The device will be juiced by a 4000mAh battery, however previous leaks suggested that a 2800mAh battery will power the phone.

To recall, the Nokia 3 which was launched in February this year, was priced around $110.

It sports a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It also has an 8MP rear as well as a front-facing shooter. It runs on Android 7.0 and is powered by a 2630mAh non-removable battery. The alleged Nokia 2 will help the company to gain market share in the entry-level smartphone segment.

The company is also preparing to launch Nokia 9 flagship. If rumors are to be believed, the device will be IP68 certified and might incorporate an iris scanner. It will also have support for the quick charge, while a 3900mAh battery is said to fuel the smartphone. The phone might launch in October.
