With just days to go, Apple enthusiasts will soon witness one of Apple’s annual events where the tech giant is going to unveil its much-awaited iPhone 8. However, a slew of new details about the company’s 10th-year anniversary iPhone surfaced over the weekend.

According to Apple Insider, a disgruntled Apple employee might be behind the latest leak of the iPhone 8. Most of the information, which was taken from the final version of the iOS 11 operating system, is about the features of Apple’s 10th-year-anniversary device.

The iOS 11 GM version (Gold Master) has several icons and graphics showcasing the smartphone with an almost bezel-less display.

Also, a notch was illustrated, which holds the handset’s new 3D sensors as well as the front facing camera.

The iOS 11 code also indicated that the iPhone 8 will come along with a True Tone display, new aspect ratio, new resolution, smarter Power Button, Home Bar, Six Core Apple A11, Apple Pay through Face ID and a Dynamic Status Bar.

Release date delay

Although the Cupertino based tech company will announce the iPhone 8 on September 12, the handset will be available on the market at a later date. However, the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are expected to be available days after the announcement. The delay of the iPhone 8 is due to the supply issues as well as production glitches.

The shipping delay of the smartphone could even be extended by the failures in the manufacturing process, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Generating the OLED displays and the complications in the fingerprint scanner’s integration into the mobile device created the delay issues. This could mean that the production of the 10th year anniversary iPhone has been delayed by a month.

Aside from that the OLED screen of the iPhone 8 is one of the reasons for its delay.

The screen is also the reason for its expensive price tag. Samsung wants to get paid $120 to $130 for each unit, which increased the price of the device to $1,000.

In spite of that, while Apple will unveil its latest smartphones at the Steve Jobs Theater. The company is also expected to announce new products, the mini the HomePod speaker, Apple Watch Series 3 and the 4K Apple TV.

Furthermore, the company is anticipated to launch its new software, the watchOS 4, tvOS 11 and iOS 11.
