huawei will launch Mate 10 series at an event on October 16. Recently, two live images of the alleged Huawei smartphone have surfaced online. According to a report by GSMArena reveals that the device will carry razor thin bezels on its front panel. The renders that showed up before, consisted of a handset that sported thicker bezels. The report suggests that these might two different variants, possibly Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro that Huawei is planning on introducing. Huawei is releasing the phone in the US as the competitor of iPhone 8.
What leaked images suggest?
The handset in the image features a completely flat display. There aren’t curves towards the edges either. The width of the model seems to be limited to minimum size, a report by 91 mobiles reads. As far as its display size is concerned, the smartphone is expected to pack a larger measurement than one had expected. The handset in the Live Image seems to vary anywhere between 5.9-inch and 6-inch panel. This could also mean that the smartphone will either feature the normal 16:9 aspect ratio, and may extend up to featuring an 18:9 aspect ratio. Another interesting observation to be made out of the live image is that the device does not include any physical buttons on its front panel.
The expected specs of the device
According to a report by Android Headlines, it is, therefore, be assumed that the handset will pack on-screen buttons. This is similar to what Xiaomi offers in its mid-range, Redmi Mi smartphone. This aspect revealed in the latest image especially holds more value because the same setting was debuted on its predecessor, Mate 9 in 2016.
The Mate 10 series is going to be a power-packed one as it has the latest Kirin 970-bit octa-core processor on board. This motherboard is based on a 10nm manufacturing process, which makes the chipset function faster. Huawei unveiled its latest system at IFA, 2017 that took place in Berlin. The primary highlight of Kirin 970 is that it includes an Artificial Intelligence-integrated chipset as well.
The Mate 10 series will come running on Android Nougat out-of-the-box but the firm has assured its fans that they will provide access to Android Oreo soon enough. The handset is set to house a larger-than-expected battery size which may extend up to 4,000mAh. The fingerprint scanner will be located on the rear panel. The smartphone is expected to carry a hefty price-tag as well.
