Asus recently showed off an impressive ZenFone 4 lineup, which includes devices targeted to specific consumer needs. So, while one model mainly focuses on the battery life, another offers a larger display screen. However, at the time of their launch, it was not revealed which of the models would launch in the U.S. market. On Monday, Asus unveiled the Max version for the U.S. During the same event the company also revealed two more handsets, namely ZenFone 4 and ZenFone 4 Pro, that will receive U.S. and Canada releases as well.

What did Asus reveal?

The company is trying to broaden its market and influence the North American region. This expansion may be why it is planning to launch several smartphones in the U.S. as well. Further, Asus also revealed that these devices would be available by the fourth quarter of the year, which means smartphone fans may not have to wait longer for the release of these handsets.

Specs of the Asus ZenFone 4

The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) display, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Customers will have the option to purchase the phone in two variants: one with 4 GB of RAM and the other with 6 GB of RAM. A Snapdragon 630 chip will power the 4 GB variant.

Both models will come with 64 GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to an additional 2 TB with a microSD card.

The device also features a 12-megapixel dual pixel camera on the back, with an aperture of f/1.8. The second sensor on the rear side is an 8-megapixel wide angle lens. The smartphone also comes with an 8-megapixel selfie sensor.

A 3,300 mAh battery will be in tow, which will ensure that the lights stay on in the device. The phone will come running on Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.

ZenFone 4 Pro hardware specs

The ZenFone 4 Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display as well, but a Snapdragon 835 SoC powers the device. It is supported by 6 GB of RAM and two models of the handset will be on offer.

The ZenFone 4 Pro also comes with a dual camera setup. The first is a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor, while the other one is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX351 lens. The smartphone will ship with a 3,600 mAh battery under the hood. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, but customers will hope that the company will upgrade the device to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo operating system very soon.
