Five most valuable cryptocurrencies
The five cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and IOTA. Bitcoin has a market capitalization of $73 billion thus commanding a 50 percent market share. Ethereum has a market capitalization of $28 billion and commands a 20 percent market share of the cryptocurrency market.

Cryptocurrencies such as Bytecoin, Dogecoin, and Siacoin all have a price of less than $0.01.
The cryptocurrency with the highest supply of coins is Bytecoin, Dogecoin, Ripple, Siacoin, and ReddCoin. 183 billion Bytecoins are currently in supply while 110 billion Dogecoins have been supplied, these amounts are high when compared to 16 billion Bitcoins that have been supplied so far.
Cryptocurrencies with little supply are Byteball whose supply is 526,000 while 599,000 Melon coins have been supplied so far.
The largest cryptocurrency exchange sites
The biggest exchange site that trade Bitcoins are Bithumb.com, Bitfinex.com, OKCoin.cn, and Bittrex.com. Bithumb transacts 7 percent of Bitcoin trading while Bitfinex transacts 6 percent.
The largest Ethereum exchange sites are Bithumb.com, OKCoin.In, Coinone.co.kr, Polonix.com and Bitfinex.com. Bithumb transacts 16 percent of Ethereums exchanges while OKCoin transacts 10 percent.
The most transacted cryptocurrencies on this sites are Bitcoin, Ethereum, OmiseGo, NEO, and Tether. An average of $2.3 billion Bitcoins is transacted each day, $870 million worth of Ethereums are transacted each day while $165 million NEO coins are transacted daily.
New cryptocurrencies
According to coinmarketcap.com, 22 new cryptocurrencies were introduced in the last one week; this means that an average of three new cryptocurrencies is introduced each day. Cryptocurrencies that were recently introduced are, Bolenum (BLN), 0x (ZRX), Health Care Coin (HCC), The ChampionCoin, (TCC) and Excelcoin (EXL).
