There are only a few people who are still using flip phones nowadays. Somehow there are still people who find flip phones cool. Samsung recently launched its newest high-end dual-screen flip phone in China. The new phone is the Samsung G-9298 or commonly called as the Leader 8 or Leadership 8. The company did not make a huge announcement for the Leader 8, but the product’s page on its Chinese Samsung website lists the full specs of the device.

The Samsung Leader 8 has two 4.2-inch Full High Definition Super AMOLED display screens.

The first screen is located on the front and the other one is on the inner side of the device. The Leader 8 is not a typical flip phone. It also has a lot of impressive features in it.

The Samsung Leader 8 has a 12-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Its cameras are pretty impressive. It is just like buying a Samsung flagship smartphone. Flip phones have been long dead in the west for several years, but some Asian markets like China and South Korea still sell these devices.

Flip phone with wireless charging feature

The latest Samsung flip phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset. It is the same processor that is being used on LG G6. The device also boasts a 2,300mAh battery that supports wireless charging.

The Leader 8 sports 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM capacity. The device has a 15.9 millimeter (0.62 inch) thickness and it weighs 235 grams (0.52 lbs). The device also runs on Google’s Android mobile operating system.

The Samsung Leader 8 comes with a built-in T9 keyboard that will bring back memories from the year 2000. The device is also built-in with some modern applications like Samsung Pay support and S-voice.

The device has a fingerprint scanner on its back portion below the camera. The company has not said anything about its price. But the bad news is that it might only be sold in China or other Asian countries.

New Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaked image

In other news, a new leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 appeared online.

The image came from VentureBeat’s Evan Blass. Evan is known to provide accurate leaks. The Note 8 is expected to sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED display screen and a 1440 x 2960 screen resolution. The screen size of the Note 8 is just a little bigger compared to the Galaxy S8. The device might also feature a dual-lens camera. Both cameras will have 12MP sensors with optical stabilization.
