The OxygenOS 4.1.7 Update has been made available to OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones. The operating system comes along with the highly anticipated touch latency improvements to the mobile devices. Also, the new update features the August Android security patch as well as battery optimizations.

OnePlus 3 and 3T users reported touch latency issues with their mobile devices last year. Nonetheless, as reported by First Post, the OxygenOS 4.1.7 update comes along with enhanced system fluidity, battery optimizations, and the August Android security patch.

A Twitter user, Carl Pei, claimed that the latest update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T handsets does indeed feature the touch latency improvements. Aside from that, the update also comes along with several bug fixes.

The OnePlus company made it known that the new OS update will ditch the Hangouts app. However, OnePlus 3 or 3T smartphone users are advised to update the app before installing the OxygenOS 4.1.7.

The latest update also fixed the sound channel error and the App Locker issue. If users want to check the update manually, they can head to Settings and then System Update.

According to Gizbot, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer claimed that the latest OS update will be available through an over-the-air programming (OTA) update.

This could mean that it will arrive in phases.
