Nubia Z17 was recently released in obsidian black, black gold, solar gold, and flame red color variants in addition to the not yet released Aurora blue option. The latest development is that a new 8GB Ram variant is expected to hit the retail shelves. According to TENAA, the upcoming 8GB RAM model will be equipped with 64GB internal storage. The appearance of a handset on TENAA indicates the imminent arrival of the smartphone.

Previously, the ZTE-owned company released the smartphone in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. While the 6GB RAM model is equipped with 64GB and 128GB internal storage, the 8GB RAM variant ships with 128GB of internal storage.

The availability of the 64GB storage in the 8GB RAM model will be of immense benefit to budget-conscious users.

Latest processor

The main highlight of the Nubia Z17 is the addition of the Snapdragon 835 processor running at a clock speed of 2.45Ghz coupled with Adreno 540 graphics. The phone provides support for Quick Charge 4+ support, which is capable of charging the 3200mAh battery from 0 to 50 percent in less than 20 minutes.

Bezel-less display

The Nubia Z17 features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS 2.5D glass protected display. The look and design of the phone will be identical to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 with bezel-less functionality. The smartphone includes a multi-functional physical home button located on the front side and also offers a fingerprint sensor on the rear.

With IP67 protection, the Nubia Z17 is capable of surviving up to one meter under water.

Powerful dual camera

Talking about the optics, the Nubia Z17 has a dual camera comprising of 12MP and 23MP sensors with support for LED Flash, AI technology, 2X lossless zoom, and PDAF. While the 23MP sensor offers f/2.0 aperture, the other 12MP one ships with f/1.8 aperture.

For selfie enthusiasts, the phone bears a 16MP camera on the front. We expect the 8GB RAM and 64GB variant to cost between $540 and $560.

Equipped with a single slit antenna design, the Nubia Z17 was designed using aRC 3.0 technology. The main purpose of the new design is to maintain the thin front glass alongside a display without side bezels.

To recall, the Nubia Z17 Mini was recently launched with a 5.2-inch FHD 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, Snapdragon 652 processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based on Nubia 4.0 UI.

The dual rear camera comes with 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor with support for PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, the camera bears a 16MP sensor using which you can capture accurate selfies. Powered by a 2950mAh battery, the NZ17 Mini provides support for all major connectivity features and sensors in addition to a fingerprint scanner.
