The nokia 8 launch event is just around the corner but the heat is not ready to settle down. For the last two months, Nokia's first upcoming flagship device is creating a lot of buzz in the market. Of course, it will. Nokia is back from the dead and fans are going crazy over it.

This time, we have the live images of the device showing the GeekBench result. Although most of the stuff is written in the Chinese language, we can understand the spec sheet here with ease. Before moving to the spec sheet, I would like to give you a follow up on design leaks till now.

Overview of its design

Previous leaks suggest almost everything about the device so let's get right into it. Nokia 8 comes with a design quite similar to its previous device. It is more identical to Nokia 6 which went on sale in the US recently and will arrive in India this month. The only difference in the visual design factor is going to be the dual rear camera setup with the branding of Carl Zeiss optics. Moreover, there are four holes in the camera ring, two for camera sensors, one for flash and the last one seems to have a laser autofocus.

Apart from all this, the design is similar to every other smartphone out there. Sim tray on the left side and volume rockers with the power button on the right side.

3mm headphone jack on the top and a micro USB on the bottom which unfortunately with no fast charging capability. That's the sad part here. A flagship device with no fast charging according to the leaks.

On the front, you will see backlit capacitive buttons with a home button. The fingerprint sensor is integrated below this home button which is going to be a button or a simple touch button.

In house specification

You can expect the device to come with 5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display with pixel density of 559ppi. Looking at the pixel density, the display size seems to be either 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch. The benchmark images are leaked by SlashLeaks, showing us the processor as well as other powerful specification.

The device will arrive with Android 7.1.1 with good support on updates just like the previous ones. Nokia 8 will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is the flagship processor of this year. You will get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage capacity.

On the camera front, you will get two 13MP rear cameras which will deliver amazing snaps in my opinion. The 8 MP front camera will also be present on this device.

Pricing and availability

Nokia 8 is expected to arrive in the market with a price tag of 517.42 EUR. The device is yet to be launched and therefore, there is no word on its availability for now. HMD Global is hosting a launch event on August 16 in London to reveal the Nokia 8. The phone might arrive in China and Europe first and then will make its way to the rest of the market.
